Have you ever wondered what kind of battery you need for most types of small,
handheld electronic devices?
Usually, these small devices are much too tiny for even AAA batteries. So, when
this is the case, what type of battery do you use? Well, the answer is usually an LR44 battery.
The LR44 battery is a very common name for the
standard 1.5 volt button cell alkaline battery.
This type of battery sees many different kinds of
uses, from small LED flashlights, to laser pointers, to thermometers, and even to
clocks.

This battery has a variant cousin
called the SR44, which is a silver oxide battery. The two are sometimes considered the same type of
battery, but the LR44 battery has a lower energy density. This is usually considered a quality difference, though
they are actually, in fact, two very different kinds of batteries.
You can buy an LR44 battery from almost any retailer that sells
batteries of any kind, but you can find them especially in electronics stores. You can also buy them from about any
store or company that sells electronic gear that uses them. So, in other words, if you buy a flashlight that takes
an LR44 battery at a certain store, you can usually go back there to buy a replacement button battery.
You can, if you feel the need, usually buy these LR 44 batteries
in a bulk pack of several batteries, such as the Maxell
batteries. That way, you know you will have a spare if one goes out. Sometimes, it can be a pain to
find these types of batteries unless you know which stores carry them.
That is actually why a lot of people order LR44 batteries
online...because this way, they know that they will get what they need, instead of just blindly looking around for
a place to buy that new battery for the laser pointer that just went dead! It can be a huge pain to try to find
these batteries when you are on the road without a lot of time to shop for them at every new place to shop, which
is why spares are nice.
There are a lot of devices that use LR44 batteries, especially now
since so many electronics are so much smaller than they used to be. With the technology getting smaller and
smaller, it is apparent that smaller button cell batteries are needed to power the ever shrinking electrical
devices that are hitting the market. So, it only makes sense that a flashlight would go from needing 9v
battery, AAA or AA battery to needing an LR44
battery, especially if it utilizes LED technology to produce more light.

So, if you are needing an LR44 battery, think about using the
internet to order them. This will give you the best results for your time, and will probably result in you getting
a better deal anyway. They are offered in about any brand that makes batteries, but go with a brand you trust
instead of a common generic brand.
